Blasts from the Past
“Opportunity” off the legion of love, Grey Matter Tunes EP was chosen as one of the songs on the Ethiopian AIDS awareness CD, produced by Igor Vrabac in 2004. The CD was part of the campaign by Order of Canada Recipient Stephen Lewis, at the time United Nations Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, to bring more worldwide awareness of the horrific AIDS crisis in Ethiopia. The track was produced and performed by Bryant Didier and written by Bryant and Brent Haynes.
It Don’t Matter (Blah, Blah, Blah) was the first collaboration between Bryant Didier and Brent Haynes, the primary contributors to the Toronto based socially conscious recording project “legion of love”. It was recorded in the early 2000s and was never commercially released. All instrumentation and vocals on the track are by Bryant who also produced and recorded it in his original studio at the Bartlett Schoolhouse.
